Marianne van der Tas
I was born in The Netherlands on 3 July 1951.
I moved to Brazil when I was 3years old and lived there until I was 11, when I moved back to The Netherlands to continue my "middle education".
I now live in England and have been a "Fleece to Felt " and handwork tutor for 13 years. 
I trained as a Steiner Kindergarten teacher and worked for a long time with children and young adults with special needs, and my job has made the transformational qualities of wool and felting extremely apparent. 
I aim to address all the senses, especially touch, by creating a beautiful environment in which to work. I have developed my lessons to suit very young children and anyone with more profound and complex needs. 
I have reached a point in my life, where it is now time to pass on my acquired knowledge and to formally teach the lessons that I have developed. 
I am a member of the "Stroud Water Textiles Trust" and the International Feltmaking Association.
